Let it be clear which stage a sale is at until it closes.
The record opens the moment you enter the sale and its status is tracked. When the process ends you complete it; the invoices are created then, and the record locks.
Who it is for
For offices running several sale processes at once, who need to track which one is at which stage.
- Estate agencies weighted towards buying and selling
- Offices where more than one agent closes sales
- Development and contractor sales offices
- Anyone selling commercial property
Enter the sale and the record opens
On a new sale you pick the property and enter the buyer and the amount. The record opens with the status Sale Started; no invoice is issued yet and the process continues.
- The property is picked from among those for sale
- The buyer is picked from existing accounts or added there and then
- The sale date and time, the amount and the VAT rate are entered
- The agent is recorded, so who closed the sale is clear
- The amounts entered are recorded as tax inclusive
Track the status
The sales list shows which record is at which stage. You can edit, cancel or delete sales that have not been completed.
- A record with the status Sale Started can be edited
- A completed sale locks and does not change quietly
- You move from the list straight to the sale's detail
- Pending sales also appear separately on the dashboard
Complete it and the invoices are created
When the process ends you complete the sale. The invoices are created at that moment, and you can see which ones will be created before you complete it.
- Before completing, which invoices will be created is listed
- On completion the invoices are created and tied to the record
- If an invoice will not be created, the reason and what to do are written out
- The sale price and commission invoices appear on separate rows
Sales volume in the panel
You can see the overall position without going through sales one by one. The dashboard summarises the last six months' sales volume and pending approvals.
- Monthly sales volume for the last six months, with this month highlighted
- The change against the previous period
- Pending sale approvals as a list
- You move from a row straight to the related sale
What changes
The sale process becomes something you can follow.
Frequently asked
Is an invoice issued as soon as I enter a sale?
No. The record opens with the status Sale Started. The invoices are created when you complete the sale; before that you can see which ones will be created.
Can I correct a sale I have completed?
A completed sale locks, because its invoice has been issued. If a correction is needed, it has to go through the accounting side.
What happens if the buyer is not in the system?
You can add a new customer there and then while entering the sale; you do not have to move to a separate screen.
Can I enter a sale date in the past?
Yes, you set the sale date and time yourself. If you leave it empty, the moment the record was opened is written in.
Do I enter the commission here too?
Yes, you also set the commission side and amount during sale entry. The place where we describe the commission side in detail is the commission tracking page.
Can I get a PDF of the sale agreement?
Not at the moment. Sale details are held in the system and viewed on screen; there is no ready-made PDF output yet.
